Ian Ashworth BSc (Hons), Podiatrist
Ian graduated in 1995 from Durham School of Podiatric Medicine, with a BSC (Hons) in Podiatry. Ian worked for the NHS in Darlington after qualifying, then moved back to Chester in 1998 and has been working as a private Chiropodist/Podiatrist since then. Ian has been treating a full range of foot conditions since qualifying and has excellent experience in general treatments, nail surgery, biomechanical assessments and custom orthotic prescribing.
Ian is known for his gentle and sympathetic approach to treating clients and has the ability to calm the most nervous patients.
Vanessa Wise BSc (Hons), Podiatrist
Vanessa graduated from the University of Salford in 2010 with a 1st Class BSc (Hons) in Podiatry. She has worked as a private Podiatrist in Chester and the Wirral since then and has also worked for many years as a Therapist and is an excellent clinician in all aspects of footcare. Vanessa has trained in the application of Wilde Pedique products, a method which can cosmetically rebuild damaged/lost nails. Ask our reception staff for more details.

Gemma Walker BSc (Hons), Podiatrist
Gemma graduated from the University of Huddersfield in 2016 with a BSc (Hons) in Podiatry. She has worked as a private Podiatrist in Chester and the Wirral since then and is an excellent clinician in all aspects of footcare.
Gemma is trained for the use of Swift verruca treatment.
Gemma has an excellent rapport with clients and provides the best individual care for all patients.
Susan Dresner, Podiatrist
Susan graduated from the Manchester Foot Hospital in 1983 with an HND in Podiatry. She has worked as a private Podiatrist in Chester, Wrexham, Tel Aviv, New York and the Wirral since then.
Susan easily builds rapport with clients to provide the best individual care for all patients.
Heather McLintock BSc (Hons), Physiotherapist
Heather graduated from Salford University in 1998 and is a Member of the Society of Orthopaedic Medicine. She has 13 years experience as a practicing physiotherapist and can offer a wealth of experience in orthopaedic problems in particular sports injuries. Heather has many years experience with athletics, netball, football and golf injuries and has worked closely with West Cheshire athletics club and Chester ladies football club. Heather also works as an extended scope practitioner in an NHS Trust hospital.
Appointments for the physiotherapy clinic are available evenings and weekends. Initial assessments take 45-60 minutes and follow up appointments are usually 30 minutes. Please call the Podiatry practice on 01244 381 350 to arrange an appointment.
Jane Ashworth BA (Hons), Practice Manager
Jane joined Ian and the team in October 2012 as Practice Manager. Jane has excellent organisational skills and a wealth of experience in administration and client contact roles, both at the Police and for the NHS. She is enthusiastic, friendly and full of energy, she is a Mother of energetic twin boys. She enjoys cycling and family days out with Ian and the boys.
Jacqui Ashley, Receptionist
Jacqui has been with us since June 2011. Jacqui has brought a variety of skills from previous employment and easily adapts within her working environment. Jacqui is also a busy, devoted mother of two teenagers and is enjoying the experience of balancing work and home life.
Gill Rigby, Receptionist
Gill is Ian and Jane’s most recent team member starting in September 2014. Gill has worked in a variety of roles from an Underwriter to an Apprenticeship Coordinator for an Adult Learning Provider. Gill is very proud of her family with her eldest obtained her degree in Sport and Fitness Science and her youngest has obtained a Mathematics Degree.

Yvonne Jones-Lyon
Yvonne Jones-Lyon has been in practice since 2013. She was trained by NHS Podiatrists at James Watts College, Birmingham, specifically for social nail cutting and our clinic fully supports her.
Yvonne qualified in December 2012 and set up business soon afterwards. Yvonne is fully insured and always has an up to date DBS (CRB). She is able to cut Diabetic toe nails and finger nails. She offers a mobile service around Chester and Ellesmere Port.
